This beige spiral is from the outer rim of a china plate and the center of the madala is the bottom plate print.

 I am mosaicing our kitchen backsplash which was previously in art deco linoleum tiles (the stick on type). I am using pieces of the kitchen to incorporate into the piece. Silverware is embedded into mortar and I used 1/4 rounds for some of my spirals. The spirals with patterns on them are from the rims of china and the printed center of the mandalas are print from the back of plates. This is a fun one!

My husband bought a set of silverware and said he thought it would look "fun and funky" so I pulled tiles our and inserted knives, forks and spoons.

Trying to keep it in beige colors with hits of color here and there!
